Set list visibility

Learn how to choose which lists are shown on which document types.

If you want to limit which lists are shown on expenses in the dashboard, you can easily define this in the settings for the list in question.

  • Custom lists appear as drop-down menus on the individual expense in the overview (see the example at the bottom of this article).

How to set the visibility of a custom list

  1. Go to Settings > Lists, click the custom list whose visibility you want to change, and then open the Visibility tab.

  2. Select the document types you want to show the list on.

Example: As you can see in the image below, the visibility of the list "Payment methods for receipts" is limited to the receipt document type:

How to set the visibility of categories

If you want to change the visibility of your chart of accounts (under Settings > Lists > Categories), just follow the guide above, but instead of going to the Visibility tab, click the 👁 icon next to the category you want to hide (or select all the categories you want to hide and then click Hide selected).

💡 Pro tip! By default, no categories are shown on coworker reimbursements, so they can't be selected on this document type. If you want your coworkers to be able to see one or more categories on their reimbursements, just check the box next to each category you want and then click Show for expense reports.
