Two-factor authentication (2FA) in Corpay One

Learn how to set up two-factor authentication in Corpay One and what it means for you.

At Corpay One we believe it's absolutely fundamental to give you the best possible way to secure your data and your Corpay One account. Two-factor authentication (2FA) gives you far more security than a single password can on its own.

With two-factor authentication, you use two "factors" to secure your account:

  1. A secret password (like the one you already use).

  2. Your own phone, which only you have access to.

By adding your phone as an extra layer of protection, you can be sure that your account is completely secure - even if your password is stolen, or if a stranger gains access to your email account. In other words, anyone who wants to access your Corpay One account must also use your phone.

How does 2FA work in practice?

When you log in to Corpay One, you first enter your password. Once you have entered it, you receive a push notification from an authentication app on your smartphone asking you to enter another code to log in. This code expires after a short time and can only be used once. The app keeps generating new one-time codes, so you have to enter a code before a new one is generated.

Setup

We've made it easy for you to set up 2FA, and it only takes a moment.

  1. Log in to your Corpay One account here.

  2. Click your name in the lower left corner, go to My Profile > Security, and follow the steps in this article.

Which authentication app do I need?

At Corpay One we recommend the Google Authenticator app developed by Google, which lets any service (such as Corpay One) implement two-factor authentication. You can read more about Google Authenticator and two-factor authentication here (opens an external page in a new tab).
