Overview of active and historical accruals

Learn how to use the accruals overview to get an overview of all your accruals.

Open the accruals overview

Go to Tools > Accruals to see all your accruals in one place.

From here you can search for accruals and get an overview of both active and historical accruals.

Search and filter accruals

Use the search field to find accruals by vendor or invoice.

You can also filter accruals using the date selector to show a specific period.

View the details of an accrual

The accruals overview shows, among other things:

  • Vendor

  • Document no.

  • Period start

  • Period end

  • Number of months

  • Total accrual

  • Monthly amount

  • Accrued so far

  • Remaining amount

  • Category

  • Latest sync

Reconciling accruals

As well as giving you an easy overview of the active accruals in a specific month, the accruals overview is also a reconciliation tool. If your fiscal year runs from January 1 to December 31, you can simply select December in the overview. The total of the Remaining amount column must match the total of the accruals account you have set up as of December 31 in your ERP system.

Important: If manual transactions have been made on the accruals account, there is a risk that the accruals overview and the accruals account in e-conomic do not match.

Important: If there are accruals that have not been synchronized up to and including the month selected in the accruals overview, the accruals overview and the accruals account in e-conomic will not match.

Keep an eye on the sync status

Each accrual shows a sync status that indicates whether the periods have been synchronized with e-conomic.

The overview also shows the month of the latest sync.

If a warning icon is shown next to an accrual, it needs your attention. This may be because the accrual is not synchronized or is incomplete.

Customize the overview

You can customize the columns shown and export the overview using the column and download options.
