Banking days in Corpay One

Read more about how Corpay One handles banking days, and what that means for how invoices are paid.

When you have set an invoice up for payment, Corpay One automatically assesses whether it falls due on a banking day or on a non-banking day. The payment can therefore only be completed on the next banking day, which also means that the selected payment method will not be debited on non-banking days.

  • If an invoice falls due on a banking day, or if you clicked Pay now on a banking day within your bank's opening hours, the invoice will be paid and get the status Paid as usual.

  • If a payment falls on a non-banking day, the corresponding invoice will get the status Initiated, which means that the payment has been started, but that it can only be completed on the next banking day. Individual banks differ in whether they process the payment or not. So be aware of whether your bank supports payment requests outside its opening hours. Some banks will reject the payment if it was initiated outside their opening hours, and the document will then get the status Paused in Corpay One. Please check with your bank whether the payment is retried on the next business day.

  • Corpay One does not automatically initiate payments on a bank holiday.

  • Invoices with the status Initiated are attempted paid from 11 a.m. on a banking day.
