How to activate your bank account in Corpay One

The process for activating a bank account as a payment method in Corpay One differs depending on which bank your company uses.

Corpay One supports connecting bank accounts in three different ways, and the way they are activated as payment methods in Corpay One differs depending on the bank. When you request a connection for your company’s bank account, you receive an email with all the instructions for the whole process, but the activation process for the three types of bank accounts is also described here.

Danske Bank

The connection is made through a third-party power of attorney (without administration rights) between your company and Corpay One, in which your company gives Corpay One limited, technical access to initiate payments from your company’s bank account once you have added a document to Corpay One. You receive the necessary documents and more information by email after you have entered the account details in Corpay One.

  1. You have to sign the power of attorney you are sent and upload it to Danske Bank.

  2. Danske Bank does not contact you once they have processed and approved the power of attorney you submitted. If they reject it, you receive a message in your online bank under Messages from the bank.

  3. Corpay One automatically checks whether the agreement is active 7 days after Corpay One sent you the power of attorney. You receive a message about whether the connection can be activated or not following this check.

  4. If the agreement cannot be activated, contact Danske Bank and ask them to look into why the agreement is not ready on their side, and then let Corpay One know if Danske Bank activates it afterwards. You can contact us in the chat or at support@corpayone.com.

  5. Our support team then carries out a final check and lets you know that the account is activated and ready to use.

Nordea

The connection is made through a Corporate Access Lite agreement, which is a type of power of attorney between you and Nordea.

You need to contact Nordea for help setting up a Corporate Access Lite agreement.

You receive more information by email after you have entered the account details in Corpay One to start the process.

  1. Once you have ordered the agreement from Nordea, you receive the necessary documents directly in e-Boks.

  2. Once the documents have been signed in e-Boks, you will usually receive confirmation from Nordea within 72 hours that the agreement has been approved.

  3. You then have to enter your agreement number in Corpay One by clicking edit on the Nordea payment method and contact Corpay One support in the chat or at support@corpayone.com, after which they will carry out a final check and let you know that the payment method is activated and ready to use.

It is important that the agreement number does not contain -0001 or -0002. Enter only the digits before the hyphen when you enter the agreement number on the payment method. You can find the agreement number in the top right corner of your Corporate Access Lite agreement.

Other Danish banks

The connection is made through Bank Connect, the shared API solution of the Danish banking data centers, and it requires your company to set up a Bank Connect agreement with your bank that Corpay One can use to establish the connection to the bank account.

  1. You have to set up a Bank Connect agreement for your company with your bank.

  2. Once you have set up a Bank Connect agreement with your bank, you receive an activation code and an agreement/function ID that you enter in Corpay One in the same place where you originally requested the bank account connection, under Settings > Payment method.
